While the term “cool” is somewhat subjective, a number of cities are lauded for their pulsating entertainment scene and cultural diversity. The latest publication to do the lauding is Forbes, which compiled a list of the coolest places to live in the country. Using factors like the number of entertainment and other recreational options per capita, the cost and number of outdoor activities, the number of non-chain restaurants and bars per capita and the cities’ ethnic and racial diversity, Forbes designated 20 cities in the U.S. as the coolest.
