Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown
During their 2007 divorce proceedings, Bobby and Whitney fought over custody of Bobbi Kristina. Though both had a drug-riddled past, Whitney claimed that Bobby was an “unreliable” parent. Bobby denied Whitney’s claims, but admitted that he was so broke that he couldn’t afford a lawyer. Whitney eventually won full custody of their daughter, and although Bobby filed an appeal, a judge decided to uphold the original ruling in favor of Whitney.
