We all know the president is a cool guy, but when you have opponents like these contending for your job, it makes campaigning that much easier. Here are the top 10 gaffes from the current GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney and previous contenders of the 2012 election.
10. Michelle Bachmann’s serial killer spirit
Tea Party darling Michelle Bachmann was campaigning in Waterloo, Iowa, earlier this year when she confused more than a few people. Underscoring her drive to win, she said “Well, what I want them to know is, just like John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa — that’s the kind of spirit I have too.”
Problem is that John Wayne the tough guy actor isn’t from Waterloo, but John Wayne Gacy, the infamous serial killer who raped, poisoned and buried teenage men in his basement is indeed from Waterloo.
