(CNN) — Evangelist Billy Graham was admitted to a hospital overnight for treatment of a pulmonary infection believed to be bronchitis, the hospital said.
“Upon admission, he was alert and in good spirits,” Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, said in a statement.
He was hospitalized for pneumonia last November.
The 93-year-old “has remained in good overall health the past year, though he continues to remain at home due to age-related conditions,” Mission Hospital said in a statement. “However, Mr. Graham remains actively involved in ministry and writing projects, including near completion of a manuscript for a new book summarizing his Gospel message over the past seven decades of public ministry.”
It is unclear how soon he may be released from the hospital.
