Drake and Chris Brown are in a world of legal trouble over their infamous bottle-throwing club brawl. And as the lawsuits against the emcees continue to pour in, many of their cohorts have weighed in on the scandal, sharing their disappointment or concern for the two bad boys. But when Drake’s mentor, Lil Wayne, was recently asked about the brawl, all the Young Money CEO could do was, well, laugh.
During a recent appearance in Las Vegas to support his new Supra shoe line, Wayne spoke with MTV News about the incident and admitted that he simply thought it was humorous.
“Honestly, I laughed at them,” he said, laughing again as he continued. “I can’t front, I just laughed at them .. like, it’s funny to me. I thank God I ain’t going through it though, I’ve already been through too much.”
But while Wayne may have already weathered his own storms, Drake and Brown are still deeply in the midst of theirs.
The two feuding artists were recently sued for $16 million by WiP nightclub’s owners for damages from their bottle-throwing brawl, claiming that they “ordered security personnel, bodyguards, friends and entourage to join the fight, which erupted into a violent brawl on a massive scale.”
And on Monday, a NYC-based model sued the pair as well, claiming that he suffered “severe personal injuries” during the brawl.
Well, Wayne may be laughing now, but beef wasn’t always a funny subject for the Young Money general and his army. Check out some of YMCMB’s most infamous beefs below. –nicholas robinson
