Evelyn Lozada to Speak About Domestic Abuse On ‘GMA’
After weeks of being silent, the famed “Basketball Wife” is speaking about the domestic abuse incident that’s been splashed across headlines involving herself and her football player husband. Evelyn Lozada is a confirmed guest on “Good Morning America” and will speak with Amy Robach this week in a taped segment. TMZ reports that GMA host Robin Roberts was set to conduct the interview, but was forced to pull out due to a planned treatment session for her blood disorder. As previously reported, Roberts has myelodysplastic syndrome and will be taking a hiatus from the morning news program.
On Wednesday (Aug. 28) Lozada was spotted out and about in NYC presumably for the taping. She was previously seen taking a break from the tabloids in Barbados with 18-year-old daughter who posted snaps in a bikini. When Lozada was asked this week if by TMZ cameras if she’d spoken to her estranged husband since the incident to which she calmly replied, “no.” No word yet on when Evelyn’s GMA interview will air.
In addition to her sit-down on Good Morning America, Lozada will appear on OWN’s “Fix My Life” show with Iyanla Vanzant. The episode was filmed before her domestic abuse incident. -danielle canada
