Traditionally speaking, most women in reality TV are either struggling to find a man or they have terrible relationships with the men in their lives, whether they’re together or apart. Just check out all of the dysfunctional relationships on the “Real Housewives” and “Love & Hip-Hop” franchises. But amidst that sea of dysfunction are pearls of women who have been able to keep the peace with their men, and one of them is “Hollywood Exes” star Nicole Murphy.
In a recent interview with RadarOnline, Murphy spoke about her role on “Hollywood Exes” and explained that she and her ex-husband, Eddie Murphy, who split in 2006, have remained friends after their divorce.
“Eddie and I are friends; he’s my babies’ daddy so we speak to each other and have a great relationship and I think that’s important when you have children involved,” Nicole told Radar. “We can be in the same room and hang out, it’s all good!”
“I don’t have an issue with my ex, I think the other girls are good too, but ‘Drea is still going through a little something with hers,” she added.
Though, Murphy does admit that the show has helped her deal with any residual issues she may have.
“The show is definitely therapy, I am sure that other women who are watching the show have a situation they can relate to. I’ve have women tell me on Twitter that I’ve inspired them not to jump up and get angry,” she said.
And neither Murphy nor Eddie have much to be angry about these days. Both have moved on to new romances; Nicole is engaged to former NFL star Michael Strahan and Eddie is dating “106 & Park” host Rocsi Diaz.
