Vivica Fox Lands New Prank Show
Although she’s been seemingly absent from television screens, Vivica Fox is coming back to the small screen, this time with reality cameras in tow. Fox, 48, is hosting a new hidden-camera program titled “Prank My Mom” on the Lifetime network. The show, which sounds similar to Ashton Kutcher’s widely popular “Punk’d,” will feature Fox assisting sons and daughters targeting their mothers with pranks. A preview of “Prank My Mom” will be shown Thursday, Sept. 27 and Oct. 4. Both previews will air following “Project Runway” at 10 p.m. The series will officially premiere Oct. 9.
Similarly, a number of black female celebrities are returning to television this fall. ‘Real Housewife’ Nene Leakes will star in NBC’s ‘The New Normal’ a sitcom following the lives of a blended family centered around a gay couple. She will also return to her role on ‘Glee.’ Likewise, singer Kelly Rowland has a starring role in ‘What Would Dylan Do’ a new BET sitcom centered around the life of an L.A. based relationship blogger. -danielle canada
