This may be the role that earns Common an Academy Award. In the new film Luv, set in Baltimore, an 11-year-old boy discovers that his favorite uncle is an ex-convict. The drama stars Common, Danny Glover, Charles S. Dutton, Michael Rainey Jr., and Dennis Haysbert. Common appeared in Chicago this week to screen the movie and discuss his role. The private event was held at Icon Theaters in Chicago’s Loop.
