Mekhi Phifer:Like Omar Epps, Phifer has both the look that the ladies like along with the charisma and the swagger to draw them to his characters on the screen and to his many music video appearances (most particularly Brandy’s and Monica’s “The Boy is Mine”). And like Epps, Phifer seemed headed for superstardom after his role in Paid in Full hit the screen, but then also settled into the role of a doctor, this one on “E.R.” from 2002 to 2008 — the prime of his hearttrob years — and kind of got lost in the shuffle.
