Sunday Program- Everyday People Share Their God-Given Gifts

Loron Bartlett, UCLA PhD Student

I think talents are things that people are not only good at, but passionate about as well.  I think about the fact that I am passionate about teaching and how I can do that to the glory of God.  What does that look like in a university setting?  Is that adding some writings about womanist theology to a syllabus or perhaps being an example of how to be Christian and feminist which some people think is oxymoronic.  Still working all of that out, but this scripture shows us what can happen when we fail to put our talents to good use and also what happens when we get it right.

So to answer your question: teaching is one talent, being a wife is another (I do think it requires a special set of talents that I am still cultivating :)), and I don’t think I’m hiding any talents, just still trying to tap into them, whatever they are.
