Blue Ivy’s name is said to be inspired by both Jay-Z and Beyoncé”s love for the color blue as well as their fascination with the number four. Both parents have the number tatted on their fingers and Ivy represents the number in Roman numerals (IV). Beyoncé also posted a pregnancy video on her website showing her standing under a blue ivy tree seemingly hinting at the name choice.
