After actress Jennifer Grey aftered her beak, her career took a nosedive (pun intended). The thing about it is that, as you can see, her nose job is actually a good one — for an anonymous person. But the woman who skyrocketed to stardom through back-to-back ’80s classics, Ferris Beuller’s Day Off and Dirty Dancing, was so unrecognizable following her procedure that even close friends didn’t know who she was at first glance. It was career suicide.

This is her testimony, according to ocregister.com: “I went in the operating theatre a celebrity — and come out anonymous. It was like being in a witness protection program or being invisible,” Grey admits somberly, her voice dripping with regret. “I remember going to a restaurant where I had been going for years. I ran into people I knew and would say, ‘Hey.’ [And they would say] nothing,” she said according to the ocregister.com.

She added: “I’ll always be this once-famous actress nobody recognizes … because of a nose job.”
