Sinister is a sick, realistic fright fest that succeeds as being one of the scariest films in at least two decades.
In Sinister, Ethan Hawke portrays Ellison, a down-on-his-luck crime writer who profiles a murdered family. For authenticity’s sake, Ellison moves his family into the home where the murders took place. Soon enough he finds the footage of the murders, the sickest, most frightening depictions of kills that you’ll ever see.
