What is the genesis of Captivate Marketing Group?
I was working at an agency in New York and, repeatedly I was approached by people to help them with marketing or to plan and manage outside events. So I started working side projects.
How did you make the move from employee to entrepreneur?
I continued to work my business, but I liked the security of a job and I was a little nervous about making the move to make my business a full-time venture. However, after I was released from my position at a nonprofit organization, I decided that this was the time to make a move!
I started working my business full time and decided that no matter what challenges that I would face as an entrepreneur, that I would not give up. This is my third year in business full time and there have been challenges, but 2012 has been a breakout year for me and so I am thankful that I remained focused and persistent.
