Beyoncé Announced as Super Bowl XLVII Performer
Just a week before the official announcement was made, details about a singing superstar’s forthcoming Super Bowl performance have been leaked. Beyoncé, 31, will perform at Super Bowl XLVII, reports the Associated Press. A source familiar with the Super Bowl told the news outlet that the Grammy-winning songstress will perform during the halftime show on Feb. 3, 2013, at New Orleans’ Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The official announcement is expected Wednesday, said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Bey’s last Super Bowl appearance was in 2004 when she sang the national anthem. Madonna was the halftime performer for Super Bowl XLVI performance when the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots. -danielle canada
