An armed black male wearing a suit and tie entered the 10 a.m. Bible Study service on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Rev. Creflo Dollar’s World Changers Church International in College Park, Ga., a metro Atlanta community, and began shooting in the chapel at the megachurch. Greg McDowell, 39, was leading the prayer service when he was shot and CPR was performed. He reportedly died at a nearby hospital.
Floyd Palmer, 52, was apprehended by U.S. Marshals at a shopping mall (Lenox Square in Buckhead) over 30 miles away later in the afternoon. He’s rescinded his membership earlier this year. At least 25 people were in the church at the time.
