Jarvis Weems
Before Monica became Mrs. Shannon Brown she witnessed a tragedy no person should ever have to witness. In July of 2000 the songstress met with her then boyfriend Jarvis Weems at a cemetery and watched hopelessly as he killed himself inside of a locked car. The songstress has maintained that her heartbreak inspired several of her songs, including the track “I Wrote This Song” in particular.
