Bobbi Kristina and her fiancé, Nick Gordon, have become one of Hollywood’s most-watched couples as the world continues to talk about their transition from so-called siblings to recently engaged lovers. But, during the series premiere of their new reality series, “The Houstons: On Our Own.”
As most know, late singer Whitney Houston informally adopted Gordon when he was 12 and raised him alongside her own biological daughter, Bobbi. After Houston’s shocking death in February, it was revealed that Bobbi and Gordon were romantically involved and the two have been the subject of public scrutiny ever since.
But, during the “Houstons” season premiere, Gordon spoke out about the controversy surrounding their relationship and denied that his relationship with Bobbi is incestuous.
“Everyone gets it wrong, I was never officially … it’s not incest,” said Gordon.
However, not everyone in the world or even in the Houston family agrees.
“How do you go from being a brother to being a boyfriend?” Houston’s brother Gary admits on the episode. “It’s a crazy concept.”
However, Bobbi has continually disregarded all the criticism and continues to do so in the episode.
“They wanna see us fail. I’ve got one thing to say,” she said. “‘You won’t!’”
