More Details on Natina Reed’s Death Released, Friends Pay Respects Online

New Details Released in Natina Reed Death

 On the eve of her funeral, new details have been released about the tragic passing of Natina Reed. As previously reported, Reed, 32, was was struck and killed late last Friday, Oct. 26, while standing in a roadway just north of Lilburn, Ga. Her death came just a day before her 33rd birthday. And while details are still skimpy, the Atlanta Journal Constitution has spoken with Reed’s mother and obtained an accident report on the incident. According to the paper, prior to her death Reed listed her address as 7065 Jimmy Carter Blvd., the address of a StudioPlus Atlanta Peachtree Corners extended stay motel in Norcross. Her mother contends however that is was not her daughter’s permanent place of residence,  “She was in transition, about to move into a new home,” Tamara Goodridge told the AJC. “We are hurt and distraught about the untimely death of our daughter Natina,” Goodridge later added. The distraught mother was said to be overcome with emotion during a press conference in downtown Atlanta on Thursday, Nov.1, about her daughter’s death held . Reed’s family is said to still be searching for answers while Gwinnett Count investigators insist that they’re “conducting a thorough investigation.” Reed will be laid to rest on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Abundant Life Church in Lithonia, Ga.

While Reed’s immediate family is issuing statements to the media, her bandmates and friends have taken to social media to pay their respects. Most recently Shamari DeVoe, Reed’s bandmate and the wife of Ron DeVoe of Bell Biv Devoe fame, posted pictures on Twitter of commemorations to her fallen friend.
