Spy chief David Petraeus is a decorated four-star Army general, who commanded the U.S. and coalition forces in both Iraq and Afghanistan, had an extramarital affair with Paula Broadwell a fellow West Point graduate and biographer who spent months studying the general’s leadership of U.S. forces in Afghanistan and subsequently wrote All In: The Education of General David Petraeus. Their affair has prompted his resignation as director of the CIA following threatening emails (cat fight!) she sent to family friend Jill Kelley that were investigated by the FBI. Petraeus is married to Holly who is an Army wife that comes from a lineage of military men and the mother of his son and daughter.
