What new features will be added to this year’s parade?

We have some exciting new things happening this year! We will be featuring The Nutcracker by the Houston Ballet on one of our floats themed the “Story Book Float,” and Theatre Under the Stars will be doing a musical number from Peter Pan. We will also feature a group of skiers being pulled by horses on the streets of Houston this year.

Why is the Holiday Parade sneak peak so important to the community?

It’s really important to let the people come in and see the magic behind the parade. The community has a unique opportunity to see how we build the floats and interact with the parade characters by getting their picture taken with Santa and the Disney Princesses along with a showing of the musical numbers.

What other community programs will the parade be involved in this year?

Next week we will be taking a sneak peak of the parade to the Texas Children’s Hospital for a mini parade through the halls. We will take Santa and the other parade characters right into their rooms and they will get to see a replica of what the parade will look like, going down the streets of Houston.
