Life of Pi
Stars: Irrfan Khan, Suraj Sharma,
Gerard Depardieu

Based on the best-selling novel by Yann Martel, and directed by the immensely talented Oscar-winning director Ang Lee, Life of Pi tells the tale of an Indian boy’s fantastical adventure. Piscine Molitor “Pi” Patel sets sail from his native land when his family decides to move their zoo from India to Winnipeg — as in Canada. A storm wrecks the 16-year-old’s ship and he clings to a piece of the wreckage until a lifeboat drifts within arm’s reach. To his surprise, he lifts the tarp and is greeted by the roar of a Bengal tiger. And thus begins a 227-day journey in which Pi and the tiger, the survivors of the shipwreck, achieve an uneasy detetente.
