Dave Chappelle was the brain behind the outlandish Comedy Central sketch comedy series “Chappelle Show” that generated a lot of buzz. One of our favorite characters was crackhead Tyrone Biggums. One day, the walls came tumbling down. It was so unexpected. Chappelle got on stage and told an audience during a stand-up act that the show was bringing him down and keeping him from doing what he loved most which was standup. His schedule was too demanding, working 20 hours a day. He went on a spiritual retreat in Durban, South Africa. He told a reporter for Time magazine, “I’m not crazy. I’m not smoking crack. I’m definitely stressed out.” (2005)
