“I decided that I was going to work out May 1, and I did,” says Janita Lloyd 55 pounds lighter, six months later. “My goal for the New Year is not to dwell on the 55 pounds that I lost last year, but to dwell on newer goals, like getting toned and work on other areas like my abdomen.”
But if you want to see results like Lloyd’s, you just have to make up your mind and just do it. Although, the New Year is motivational marker for many to get healthy, all you really need to do is commit to changing your lifestyle as soon as you decide you’re ready. “I started walking some miles, and then I started walking and jogging up to the two mile mark, then eventually, it just lead up to more and more,” Lloyd says of her initial process for getting healthy.
