'Save the Date' movie review

Stars:  Lizzy Caplan, Alison Brie,
Mark Webber, Geoffrey Arend

Sisters Sarah and Beth are polar opposites. Beth is in touch with her feelings — carnal and emotional. She’s crazy about her fiancé, and has her happily ever after all planned out — starting with her wedding. For Sarah, love is a bit more complicated. She doesn’t believe in sex before marriage, nor does she believe in marriage, leading her to speculate that she might die a “virg.” So when Sarah’s boyfriend proposes, her reaction, which is to bolt for the nearest exit, is not really a surprise to anyone except her not so dearly beloved suitor. What Sarah is searching for has been sought by humans since time immemorial: happiness. The question is, will she find said joy in the arms of a new man, or will she return to her jilted boyfriend? –p.d. lee
