Sandy Hook murders shed light on countries with the most deaths by firearms

The tragic Connecticut school shootings should cause government officials to take a hard look on gun control laws across the country. Adam Lanza took guns owned by his mother, killed her and murdered 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook on Dec. 14.

Some at the National Rifle Association will, once again, say the cliche line, “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” But without guns ,it would’ve been very difficult for Adam to murder so many innocent people.


But how would America look if it wasn’t so easy to own a gun? According to a study done by Small Arms Survey (conducted in 2007), America has the highest gun ownership rate in the world.
