T.I. calls out someone on 'Addresses'; 10 other songs you didn't know were disses

“Ride or Die” by Jay-Z
Target: Ma$e

“I bruise wack rap n—-s–severely punish ‘em/Especially those that get fucked for they publishing, (Heh)/Always gotta be the weakest n—a out the crew/I probably make more money off yo’ album than you/You see the respect I get every time I come through/Check your own videos — you’ll always be number two…”

A lot of people missed this back in 1998, but Jay fired a shot at Ma$e after also having ghost-wrote some verses on the Bad Boy star’s debut album Harlem World. Ma$e was known at the time for being Puffy’s sidekick and rocking a No. 2 jersey in the video for Puff’s “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down.” Ma$e recently revealed in an interview that the source of the brief feud was his dogging of a female friend of Jay and Dame Dash’s. And no — Ma$e didn’t own his publishing.
