Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love
Both Kurt and Courtney fronted two of the 90s most successful grunge bands. Kurt was the reluctant “Voice of a Generation,” while Courtney had become the most famous wild-and-crazy rocker chick of the Clinton era. But their marriage was defined by staggering heroin addiction. Love drew rampant criticism when she admitted in a Vanity Fair article that she’d shot up while pregnant with their daughter, and Kurt reportedly was high in the delivery room when their daughter, Frances Bean, was born. The Los Angeles County Department of Children’s Services eventually took the Cobains to court. Cobain committed suicide in 1994.
