Today, Lee-Chin is a fund manager and executive chairman of AIC Limited. He is also the founder and chairman of Portland Holdings Inc. Dr. Lee-Chin is also the chief executive officer, chief investment officer, portfolio manager, and executive chairman at Portland Investment Counsel Inc. He was also the president and founder of the Berkshire Group’s three companies known as Berkshire Investment Group, Berkshire Securities, and Berkshire Insurance Services. Dr. Lee-Chin is also the executive chairman of AIC’s sister companies, those being the Berkshire group of companies, National Commercial Bank of Jamaica (NCB), and Senvia Money Services. In November 2003, he received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from McMaster University in recognition of his business success and philanthropic initiatives and he graduated from McMaster University with a degree in civil engineering.
