Flu infections have swept the country leaving 18 dead, according to the CDC FluView report. Forty one states have reported flu activity, with New York City reporting high levels during the 2012-2013 flu season, which started early and will continue well into the spring.
Leading flu symptoms include cough, sore throat, fatigue, headache, body ache and fever.
One of the leading myths is that the flu vaccine gives you a mild case of the flu. Doctors are debunking that myth and have repeatedly stated that it’s impossible to get the flu after receiving the vaccine because it contains no live virus, only viral proteins.
