Seattle-based rapper Frederick Eugene Buhl, aka Freddy E., committed suicide on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013. He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Tragically, he announced his plans to take his own life on Twitter. The 22-year-old allegedly couldn’t take the pressure of breaking up with his girlfriend, Honey Coca1ne. A man of his word, he shot himself.
It’s time that we take notice and action when warning signs of suicide rear their ugly head: depression, talking about death, apathy, and sadness, among others.
Suicides, or self-inflected deaths, are done by several methods. Gunshot is most common among men. Overdosing on drugs and alcohol is considered more dignified and leaves family members debating if it’s intentional or accidental.
Other common means include hanging, carbon monoxide poisoning, jumping from extreme heights, wrist cutting and vehicular impact.
