On June 30, 1995 beloved R&B songstress Phyllis Hyman overdosed on pentobarbital and secobarbital and was found unconcscious in her New York City apartment. She left a suicide note which read: “I’m tired. I’m tired. Those of you that I love know who you are. May God bless you.”
