Pre-school students caught engaging in oral sex
A California pre-school is officially closing its doors after parents alleged that students often engaged in sex acts. According to KABC-TV who broke the story, at least two boys received oral sex from a 5-year-old girl at First Lutheran Church of Carson School. The sex acts allegedly took place at nap time, on the playground and in a bathroom.
The mother of the girl at the center of the case recently told KABC that she was shocked to hear her daughter describe the lewd acts she performed after being caught servicing a boy in a bathroom. “I said, ‘Where did you see this? How did you know that this was something to do? ‘She said, ‘I saw another little girl do it.’ I said, ‘Well, where?’ ‘Here at school.’ ‘When?’ ‘During nap time,’ ” the mother recalled. Investigators did not find evidence of child abuse at the girl’s home.
“It all boils down to a lack of supervision,” said attorney Greg Owen about the case. Owen is currently representing several of the affected families. “There were times when teachers would let aides in the room for hours at a time to watch the kids. During nap time, the aides would be sleeping, and the children would have been molesting each other during this time.”
Owen was originally scheduled to file a lawsuit on the parent’s behalf Monday but is waiting for more people to come forward with similar allegations.
First Lutheran Church of Carson School will close its doors this Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. School officials claim that the institution is not closing because of the sex act controversy. Instead, they insist that the school is closing because the director is leaving for personal reasons and no teacher wants to fill the position. –danielle canada
