Last fall at the BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta, rapper 50 Cent and his entourage got into with Maybach Music Group’s Gunplay. MMG, of course, is Miami hip-hop superstar Rick Ross‘ label and crew, and Ross and 50 have had bad blood for years. But while Gunplay was more than happy to fan the flames and feed into the drama, another MMG rapper is trying to think of ways to put the feuding to an end.
In an interview with Shade 45, Meek Mill admitted that his history with 50 Cent and his current affiliation with Ross puts him in a unique position. He revealed that he would like to do whatever he could to squash the senseless bickering between the two stars, but believes that its not his battle to fight.
“What they got goin’ on, they grown men. It’s been going on for a long time. If I could, I would,” Meek said.
“I knew 50 before I ever even signed with Ross. When I signed with Ross, I couldn’t just act like I don’t like 50 at all,” Mill explained. “That would be fake of me. If I could, I would. I don’t like seeing nobody I know go through anything. I don’t want to be in the middle one day and gotta choose sides or anything like that.”
The 23-year-old shared that if there was a time when the two encountered each other and he was present, he would definitely try to intervene and mediate.
“I had plans on doing that,” he said. “If I ever see them around each other, if I’m around, there ain’t gonna be no fighting or nothing like that.”
