Beyoncé already brought the world to its knees when she stripped down for her sexy GQ cover, and now the bootylicous diva is doing it, once again, for Shape magazine.
For the April issue, Beyoncé shows off her post-baby body and discusses how she shed 57 pounds after giving birth to her and Jay-Z’s daughter, Blue Ivy.
“I didn’t have a lot of time to lose the weight because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again,” she laughed.
Despite the fact that we’ve all been wagging our tongues over Beyoncé’s body, she claims that it takes serious work for her to stay in picture-perfect shape.
“I’m not a person that is naturally very thin. I am a person that has to work at keeping my body in shape,” she said.
Granted, Bey’s body expectations are definitely higher than the average woman’s, she says that everyday things like breast-feeding and dance workouts helped her lose weight. And the singer also explains the importance of loving your body and maintaining your health no matter what shape you are.
“I would just say, everyone is not supposed to be the same. Be healthy and take care of yourself, but be happy with the beautiful things that make you, you,” Bey said.
