After wearing numerous wigs on the red carpet, Viola Davis decided last year to stop wearing wigs and just rock her natural curls in public. “I took off my wig because I wanted to step into who I was. I felt like every time I put on a wig I was apologizing for who I was, being a dark-skinned woman [with] very curly hair.”
