Miami Heat and sports records that may never be broken

With the Miami Heat’s near-miraculous comeback from 27 points down in the second half to defeat Lebron James’ former squad, the Cleveland Cavaliers, 98-95 in Ohio, the consecutive games winning streak of 33 is really starting to come into vivid focus.

Yes, the Cavs are one of the worst teams in the NBA. In fact, the Heat have won more games in a row (24) than the Cavs have won all season (22). And, of course, Cleveland was without three starters including budding superstar Kyrie Irving. But, it is hard for any team, including the Heat, to bring the noise every single game of a season. Which makes the Heat run all the more remarkable.

Still, at 24 consecutive games won thus far, the odds are greatly stacked against James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and the rest of the Heat to best the Los Angeles Lakers streak that was powered by Wilt Chamberlain and Jerry West 42 years ago.streak oscar-robertson11
