Fitness plan: Best stretches after a workout

ICP

Tip over tuck

This stretch hits several areas at once — chest, shoulders and hamstring. It works wonders at loosening tight shoulders and hamstrings after a strenuous workout.  To complete this stretch stand with your feet hip width apart while placing hands behind your back and interlocking the fingers. Keep legs straight (don’t bend knees) while you bend at the hips to bring your hands over your head. Be sure to relax the back of your neck but if the stretch hurts release your hands and place them on the backs of your thighs, while bending your knees slightly. Hold this pose for 30 seconds and slowly roll up to stand and start again.
