In June 2012, Lauryn Hill pled guilty to three counts of failure to file federal tax returns for the years 2005 to 2007, during which time she made nearly $1.8 million. Hill now faces three years in prison; each count carries a maximum penalty of one year in prison and a $100,000 fine.
