Teyana Taylor addresses those Karrueche rumors

For an artist that has yet to release her debut album, Teyana Taylor gets a lot of attention.

The model and G.O.O.D. Music singer/rapper is prepping her album for release this summer, all the while racking up endorsements. Taylor told VIBE this week that she has a deal in the works with an as-of-yet-unannounced clothing store.

“I just got a phone call about another collaborator from a really big clothing market,” Taylor said.

“Once it’s done, I will be able to make the announcement,” she explained. “I’m going to be designing my own line for a really popular store that everyone shops at. It’s not super expensive, high end–it’s the place that every girl shops. And that project will be coming with new music.”

A lot of the attention given Taylor has been because of her unique style–and her personal life. The starlet dated Milwaukee Bucks star Brandon Jennings–with the relationship allegedly ending in late 2011 because she wasn’t interested in having sex–and Taylor got Twitter buzzing earlier this year when she sub-tweeted about the baller and his new girl.

But mostly–people have wondered about Taylor’s sexuality. Earlier this year, a photo surfaced of Taylor kissing Chris Brown‘s model ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. For her part, Taylor dismisses the photos as anything more than playful.

“I didn’t even know what all the fuss was about [laughs],” she explained to VIBE. “I read some of the comments like, ‘Yeah, she’s just trying to get attention.’ But you know what’s crazy? My sneaker sold out in 10 minutes. But that news took exactly 10 days for it to finally actually make a blog. Then you have the kiss—and Karrueche is my girl, my friend…girls do that all the time—and that makes it on a blog in just 24 hours. And people have the nerve to say, ‘Oh, she’s doing it for attention.’ But they see what they want to see.”
