Like Quik, Shock G is another West Coast producer who’s innovations are largely underappreciated. Before Dre dubbed it “G-Funk,” Shock G was reinterpreting classic P-Funk-esque sounds in a modern setting. And D.U. took the George Clinton worship to another level on their debut, combining raunchiness with humor and a late night party vibe.
