Boston Marathon explosion: ‘Fire’ reported at JFK Library, near Univ. of Mass

Boston officials first reported a third explosion, believed to be related to the Boston Marathon explosions, at the JFK Presidential Library and Museum near University of Massachusetts Boston. It has now been determined that it was a fire.

Designed by prominent architect, I.M. Pei, the library located on Harbor Point. The building is the official repository for original papers and correspondence of the Kennedy Administration, as well as special bodies of published and unpublished materials, such as books and papers by and about Ernest Hemingway.


The Library is now closed due to the fire.
