The Shorties Film Festival: Five Women, Five Films, Five Stories at Spelman College

Spelman College’s English Department’s film festival features works written, produced, and directed by five women – Brianna Robinson, Taylor Pettway, Desiree Nichole Mann, Nina Lee and Adamma Ebo – enrolled in the Advanced Screenwriting II program. Resilient, daring,  honest, fearless and revolutionary sum up the characteristics exhibited by these budding Oscar-winning filmmakers.

The English Department at Spelman College presents The Shorties: Five Women, Five Films, Five Stories” A Film Festival, which will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013    from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in the LLCII Auditorium on Spelman College’s campus located at 350 Spelman Lane, Atlanta, Ga. 30310.


The mission of The Shorties is to present the work of blossoming screenwriters and filmmakers who strive to cultivate and manifest their creativity through skills learned in the Advanced Screenwriting II program. This film festival is a medium of expression of the thought provoking and creative minds and works of the writers, who wish to broaden and expose the growing film and creative writing community at Spelman College and the entire Atlanta University Center. Admission is free.
