We have a black gay face in the NBA
Collins and Griner’s decisions to come out also challenge the black community’s issues with homophobia. LGBT is not a choice and that it’s also not anything to mock, shame or ridicule. To quote Oprah Winfrey, it will serve as a life class for the black community in understanding and accepting its LGBT members.
