What other industries connect to your career choice?
I’ve always enjoyed writing and I just let that be my guide. I used to do creative writing in elementary school and then I got into journalism in high school. I went from being a newspaper reporter to a digital writer and editor.
What role does technology play in your daily life?
I cannot breathe without the Internet. Technology is essential.
Would you describe the skill sets that are essential to future business leaders and innovators?

Can you describe goal setting methods you use and how you evaluate personal success?
I look at the numbers. If my numbers are increasing, then I am doing something worthwhile. If they aren’t, then I have to tweak my approach. Sometimes that means seeking outside advice, taking a class or reading more articles.
What does community mean to you? How does it influence your measure of success?
Community helps you learn best practices in your field, and it’s essential. It can stop you from making mistakes. It’s a non-negotiable if you want career longevity. Every step of the way, I maintain relationships with key people. You can never have enough great people in your life.
Where do you enjoy vacationing?
I went to Brazil and fell in love. The clothes fit better; I’m convinced. The people are warm. It’s beautiful and its economy is worth following.
If you could change one thing about your self what would it be?
I enrolled in an online course to learn how to code. Writing is a beautiful thing but that’s not enough to be competitive.
