Oliver Lewis, 19, a native of Kentucky rallied his chestnut colt, Aristides, to cross finish line winning the first-ever Kentucky Derby on May 17, 1875. They won second place at Belmont Stakes, the third race of the Triple Crown – it follows Kentucky Derby and Preakness, consecutively.
