Recruiting military veterans
We are committed to hiring and retaining diverse team members, including service members, military veterans, and veterans with disabilities. Wells Fargo team members and recruiters attend job fairs for military veterans and recruit service members through talent resources such as military.com, the leading military recruiting website. In addition, our Veterans’ Team Member Network seeks additional agencies and organizations that both support our active duty team members and their families, as well as serve as resources for recruiting talent from
the branches of military service personnel.
Community involvement
Every year, Wells Fargo supports thousands of community and educational programs and nonprofit organizations through grants and volunteer activities. In 2010, Wells Fargo invested $219 million in 19,000 nonprofits. That’s $600,000 every single day to nonprofits supporting education, community development, human services and civic projects, many of which serve military personnel and veterans in our local markets. For example is Swords to plowshares. Since 2002, Wells Fargo has supported this San Francisco organization which provides counseling, employment training, housing, and legal assistance to homeless and low-income veterans in the Bay Area.

Wells Fargo is a coporate sponsor of several organizations including Operation Homefront, Warrior and Family Support Center, Navy League of the United States, Air Force Association, and Association of the United States Army. Leadership support is provided to the Chambers of Commerce, Recruiting Services, and veteran organizations.
