Headaches

Dehydration occurs when the body loses water and essential salts that the body must have to function such as sodium and potassium. The loss of these salts happens throughout the day and night as you sweat.  When this occurs, blood vessels in the brain will dilate, which can cause some swelling. Headaches due to dehydration are commonly in the back of the head and neck and tend to get worse when you bend over.
