Phaedra Parks gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday, May 8. Her newborn baby weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces. Both the mommy and new baby are doing fine. She originally planned to have a caesarean section performed at the end of May because she was diagnosed with placenta previa. Placenta previa is when the placenta is sitting abnormally low to the uterus. If this were to continue it could lead to bleeding and a possible early delivery. Despite this difficult pregnancy, Parks and her husband, Apollo Nida, have said on a few occasions that they would have a third child.
Congratulations to Phaedra and Apollo!
